Job summary

Lounge Lovers in Melbourne is seeking a Sales Team Member for our Richmond VIC store on a part-time basis. You will be at the forefront of the customer experience, helping clients discover and select the ideal lounge solutions for their homes, while representing the Lounge Lovers brand with professionalism and enthusiasm.

You will work flexible hours, including weekends, and contribute to achieving sales targets while delivering outstanding service.

About the role

We are seeking a Sales Team Member to join our Richmond VIC store on a part-time basis. As a Sales Team Member, you will be at the forefront of our customer experience, helping clients discover and select the ideal lounge solutions for their homes. This role is pivotal in driving sales, building customer relationships, and representing the Lounge Lovers brand with professionalism and enthusiasm. You will work flexible part-time hours that complement your lifestyle whilst making a meaningful impact on our business performance.

What you'll be doing

• Greeting customers warmly and assessing their needs to provide tailored product recommendations
• Demonstrating lounge and sofa features, benefits, and customisation options to showcase product quality
• Guiding customers through the sales process, answering questions, and addressing concerns confidently
• Processing sales transactions accurately and professionally using point-of-sale systems
• Maintaining knowledge of current inventory, pricing, promotions, and product specifications
• Building rapport with customers to encourage repeat business and positive word-of-mouth referrals
• Maintaining a clean, organised, and visually appealing store environment
• Collaborating with team members to deliver a seamless shopping experience
• Achieving individual and team sales targets whilst maintaining service quality
• Handling customer inquiries and resolving issues professionally and promptly

What we're looking for

• Proven experience in a retail or sales environment, ideally within furniture, home furnishings, or a similar sector
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to connect with diverse customers
• Strong sales ability with a demonstrated track record of achieving or exceeding targets
• Product knowledge and the ability to quickly learn about lounge and furniture features
• Confidence, enthusiasm, and a positive attitude towards customer service
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
• Attention to detail and organisational skills
• Flexibility to work part-time hours, including potential weekend and evening shifts
• A professional appearance and commitment to representing the Lounge Lovers brand
• Experience with point-of-sale systems or retail technology is desirable but not essential
