The Opportunity

We’re looking for a Sales Representative Consumer Healthcare in VIC Southeast & Peninsula to join our Sales Team on a full-time permanent basis. Reporting to the State Sales Manager, the primary purpose of this position is to achieve or exceed assigned sales objectives and goals for a defined territory; to meet assigned metric targets whilst building relationships with both existing and new pharmacies; to offer a business value proposition to Customers through exceptional business skills and service in line with the core values of iNova.

Key accountabilities include:

  • To achieve or exceed sales targets ($, growth, market share and unit volume) of products with the appropriate sales mix.
  • Achieve sales objectives by achieving reach & frequency targets. Concentration targets (90% minimum) and call rate of minimum 6 calls per day on average (as captured in Mercurial).
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key personnel within the pharmacy.
  • Provide input to initiatives both within and outside of State responsibilities when requested.
  • Develop territory plans to support your business plan.
  • Achieve or exceed sales targets by developing opportunities with existing and potential clients.
  • Ensure timely and effective implementation of programmed sales activity in accounts and banner groups on territory.
  • Develop and monitor LAM investments across individual territory and ensure that ROI for iNova is delivered at appropriate levels. Co-op expense invoices submitted and tracked each month (with reconciliation vs activity).
  • Report and present on sales, activity and territory performance as required by the Company within expected time frames.
  • Ensure all activities comply with legal and ethical standards as well as Company policies.

Face to Face Calling

  • Calling on large, medium and small Pharmacies.
  • Promoting the range of iNova Pharmaceuticals, products as described in the OTC Cycle Plans.

Record Keeping

  • Develop and update accurate customer records within the CRM system.
  • Completion of tracker spread sheets as required.

Pharmacy Training

  • Provide in-store education of product range.
  • Provide group training where possible.
  • Provide merchandising for the assigned territory within the framework of the Sales and Marketing Plans.
  • Obtain further off location where possible.

Expenditure Control

  • Manage personal expenses within specified guidelines.
  • Manage co-op expenses to agreed limit.

Business Planning

  • Provide clear outline of objectives and goals re the territory plans with monthly update.

Communication

  • Report competitor information to marketing cc RSM.
  • Participate in state and national team communication.
  • Participation in State Meeting cycle requirements including territory presentation development.

Customer Coverage

  • Ensure A and B customers have coverage each month as per cycle plan.
  • Ensure Regional territory coverage is in line with grading (if applicable).
About You

To be successful in this role you will possess sales experience in pharmaceuticals, consumer health care or FMCG and previous experience in a similar role will also be considered.

Other key requirements for this role include:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Business / Science or similar will be highly regarded.
  • Previous sales experience and an excellent understanding of the sales process.
  • Demonstrated behaviour that could be replicated in a face to face selling environment.
  • Strong time management skills and the ability to juggle multiple priorities at the one time.
  • Ability to prepare & present professionally for key meetings and presentations.
  • Solid negotiation skills and the ability to influence others with fact-based arguments.
  • Ability to analyse data/market information and to draw actionable conclusions from the analysis.
  • Ability to cultivate relationships throughout an organisation (internal/external).
  • Competent computer skills, including use of Excel, Word and PowerPoint.

Additional Requirements/Work Expectations:

  • Current Driver’s Licence is essential.
  • This position will have some requirements to work outside what would be considered normal hours, e.g. weekend or evening meetings/tasks.
  • Some interstate travel is required, e.g. sales/company conferences.
  • Adhere to company values at all times.
