About the opportunity

As we build our presence in South Australia, we are looking to grow our team with a dedicated Sales Engineer based in Adelaide.

As a Sales Engineer, you will provide technical designs and solutions throughout the sales cycle to ensure our partners and customers know the full value of our video and audio solutions. You will contribute to the growth of the business by working closely with the Sales team and to continue to position Axis Communications as the market leader.

The role will also build awareness and educate our network and wider community about Axis products and solutions by presenting in webinars, industry networks, training, etc.

You will collaborate closely with the wider Oceania Sales Engineer team, Sales, Marketing, and will join the Axis Global Sales Engineer community in regional APAC and HQ, in Sweden.

The role is based in Adelaide and may involve some travel domestically and internationally.

Key responsibilities
  • Provide internal and external assistance during the sales process including delivering solutions and demonstrations to customers
  • Develop technical written presales material
  • Proactive in new business opportunities when communicating with Partners
  • Work with integrators and technology Partners during the project sales process
  • Work cohesively across multiple departments (internally & externally) to ensure we get the best outcomes for our partners
  • Construct and deliver technology and/or customer-specific training
  • Provide technical updates to our partners
  • Attend and represent Axis at industry trade shows and events.
Qualification and Experience
  • Bachelors’ Degree in Computer Engineering, Network Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems or similar
  • Ideally experience in a customer-facing pre-sales role in the field of network video and/or physical security markets
  • Good knowledge of networking, IP-based technologies and applications is desirable
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Able to build and maintain relationships with customers
  • Self-motivated and team player
  • Good organisational skills, and able to manage multiple priorities and time for customer needs
