Hermès Australia in Sydney is seeking a Sales Associate for the Chatswood Chase Boutique to deliver extraordinary service in a fast-paced luxury environment. You will collaborate with the team to support the client experience and showcase Hermès métiers.

The role requires availability across a 7-day roster, strong customer service background, and impeccable presentation. You will work with high-end jewelry and leather goods, managing stock, visual standards, and after-sales care.

Qualifications

• Experience in luxury retail or high-end jewelry is advantageous.
• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to maintain a polished and professional appearance.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional client experience in line with Hermès guidelines and benchmarks.
• Assist in stock duties including unpacking, validation, and distribution of stock deliveries; participate in cycle counts and stock takes.
• Apply visual merchandising guidelines and maintain housekeeping of retail floor areas.
• Support Métiér Ambassadorship by sharing product knowledge and participating in new product launches.

The Opportunity

The Hermès Chatswood Chase Boutique focuses on providing extraordinary service to all clients. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a dedicated team as a Sales Associate within the Hermès Maison and work collaboratively to support the client experience in a fast-paced, luxury environment.

Key Responsibilities

Client Experience

• Strive to provide exceptional client experience in line with the Sales & Service Ambassador guidelines and benchmarks to every client in Hermès
• Practice the Orange Box Ceremony and Hand Rituals
• Clientele with current and potential clients to establish and maintain client relationships
• Handle complex client experience concerns and issues, i.e. dissatisfied customers, exchanges, returns, after-sales according to the Store Notebook
• Offer exceptional aftersales experience to all clients with assessment of repairs and accurate completion of relevant forms
• Capture accurate and relevant information through POS and CRM systems
• Communicates feedback gathered through in-store activities to store management
• Utilise professional and elegant dialogue with clients and team members

Métier Ambassadorship

• Being a proactive Ambassador for assigned métier
• Meticulous visual merchandising and housekeeping of retail floor areas
• Understanding and sharing of métier performance
• Accurate mini count/ stock take results
• Sharing of key information about the métier
• Training and sharing on new product launches, particularly for new joiners
• Sharing and being an expert on care and aftersales
• Demonstrate and encourage team to master the Métier Hand Rituals
• Positive teamwork and provides support or their Ambassadorship

Daily Operations

• Daily housekeeping duties
• Assist in stock duties including unpacking, validating and distributing stock deliveries
• Apply visual merchandising guidelines
• Participate in cycle counts and stock takes
• Adhere and abides by all policies set out by Hermès Australia and Hermès international

About You

To be successful in this role you will demonstrate:

• Availability to work within a 7-day roster including weekends.
• A strong background in customer service and/or sales. Experience in a luxury environment with Fine Jewelry expertise is advantageous.
• A team player attitude and the ability to embody the values of the Hermès Maison.
• Excellent relationship development skills with impeccable interpersonal and communication skills.
• Display a high standard of presentation and grooming.
• A passion for our creations and the craft and identity of our Maison with a comprehensive product knowledge in Hermès Métiers.
• A positive, proactive, efficient and client focused attitude.
• A strong sense of time management with the ability to multi-task, organise and prioritise.
• The ability to achieve personal targets and quickly adapt to an ever-evolving, rapid moving retail environment whilst maintaining professionalism.
• The ability to work independently while balancing collaboration with a team.
