Job summary

George Gooley Menswear is seeking a part-time team member for our Northern Rivers store. The role is about 15–20 hours per week, with Saturday mornings essential; additional shifts available during busy periods like weddings, formals, races and seasonal sales.

You will help customers with clothing and fit, provide friendly service, maintain the store presentation and assist with stock and POS tasks in a small, family-owned business operating since 1957.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly, helpful customer service.
• Assist customers with product selection.
• Help with sizing and fitting.

• Maintain high store presentation.
• Replenish stock and keep floor organized.
• Process sales at the point-of-sale system.
• Receive and unpack stock.
• Assist with general store duties.
• Create a welcoming shopping experience.

Job description

This is a part-time role of approximately 15-20 hours per week, with a Saturday morning being an essential part of the position. The successful applicant will also have the opportunity to pick up additional hours during busier periods, including weddings, school formals, races and seasonal sales, as well as helping cover shifts when other team members are away.

Key responsibilities

• Helping create a welcoming and enjoyable shopping experience for customers

About you

• Friendly, approachable and confident speaking with customers

• A quick learner with a positive attitude
• Willing to help out when the business is busy or staff are away
• Available to work Saturday mornings
• Retail experience is preferred but not essential
