Allied Express is seeking a Safety & Wellbeing Business Partner to join our Sydney team. You will partner with operational leaders to promote a proactive safety culture and ensure compliance across the business.

This hands-on role emphasizes visibility across operations, practical safety guidance, and collaboration with frontline teams to deliver Safe Home Every Day outcomes. You will work closely with the National Safety Manager to drive continuous improvement and positive safety behaviours.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years' experience in a Health, Safety & Wellbeing role.
  • Experience in high-risk operational environments, ideally transport, logistics or warehousing.
  • Tertiary qualification in Work Health & Safety or a related discipline.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence leaders and frontline teams.

Responsibilities

  • Support the National Safety Manager with safety and wellbeing compliance across Allied Express.
  • Provide practical safety advice and support to operational leaders and teams.
  • Participate in Safety & Wellbeing Action Group (SWAG) committees and workplace consultation.
  • Support incident, hazard and corrective action management using Donesafe.
  • Participate in site audits, safety walks, observations and safety conversations.
  • Support safety reporting, identify trends and recommend improvements.
  • Assist with safety and wellbeing projects and technology improvements.

Job description

Allied Express is seeking an experienced and practical Safety & Wellbeing Business Partner to join our team in Sydney. Reporting to the National Safety Manager, you will work closely with operational leaders and teams across the business to support the effective management of safety and wellbeing throughout Allied Express.


This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys being visible across operations, building strong relationships with frontline teams and operational leaders, and turning safety requirements into practical outcomes. You will play an important role in promoting our \"Safe Home Every Day\" value and supporting a positive and proactive safety culture across Allied Express.


Key responsibilities include:


  • Support the National Safety Manager with safety and wellbeing compliance across the business.
  • Provide practical safety advice and support to operational leaders and teams.
  • Participate in workplace consultation, including Safety & Wellbeing Action Group (SWAG) committees.
  • Support incident, hazard and corrective action management through Donesafe.
  • Participate in site audits, safety walks, observations and safety conversations.
  • Support safety reporting, including identifying trends and recommending areas for improvement.
  • Assist with safety and wellbeing projects, initiatives and technology improvements.

About You:


  • We are looking for a proactive, practical and solutions-focused individual who is passionate about safety and wellbeing, builds strong relationships and can drive positive outcomes across a fast-paced operational environment.
  • You have 3+ years' experience in a Health, Safety & Wellbeing role.
  • You have experience working in high-risk operational environments, ideally within transport, logistics or warehousing.
  • You hold a tertiary qualification in Work Health & Safety or a related discipline.
  • You have strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence operational leaders and frontline teams.
  • You are practical, approachable and proactive, with a genuine commitment to safety and wellbeing.
  • You can manage competing priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced operational environment.
  • You lead by example and demonstrate positive safety behaviours.
