Your resume and cover letter, tailored to exactly what they’re hiring for.
Bunnings is seeking a practical Safety Operations Manager to lead in-store risk management and safety leadership across divisions. You’ll spend substantial time in stores alongside Retail Leaders to shape strategies and embed national safety programmes with autonomy and prioritised planning.
You’ll coach leaders, focus on life-threatening risk, and develop a Safety Business Partner, bringing credible influence and strong judgement to improve safety outcomes across the organisation.
What’s in it for you when you’re part of our team:
This is a hands‑on safety leadership role where you’ll spend meaningful time in stores, working alongside Retail Leaders to solve real operational challenges and strengthen how risk is managed.
As our Safety Operations Manager, you’ll partner with leaders across your division to shape and deliver an engaging safety strategy focused on life‑threatening risk, injury prevention and great safety leadership.
With plenty of autonomy to plan and prioritise your work, you’ll balance time in the field with coaching leaders, using insights to identify opportunities and helping embed national safety programmes in ways that work operationally. You’ll also lead and develop a Safety Business Partner.
You’re a practical, experienced safety leader who enjoys being close to operations and working through problems with people. You can think strategically, but you’re equally comfortable getting into the detail when it matters.
You build trusted relationships, influence with credibility and know when to coach, challenge or hold a clear position. Importantly, you’re comfortable working with autonomy, using your judgement to focus your time where you can make the greatest difference.
You’ll be part of a workplace where you’ll feel like you belong. We love the diversity across our teams, brought together in an inclusive culture guided by our values. We welcome applications from individuals of all ages, cultural backgrounds, abilities, sexual orientations, and gender identities. We strongly encourage Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples to apply and join us in shaping a workplace that celebrates First Nations voices, perspectives, and contributions.
