Job summary

Viva Energy is seeking a Gore Bay terminal operator for a full-time, 24/7 shift-based role, responsible for the safe handling and storage of fuel and supporting operational, maintenance and product quality activities.

This position welcomes applicants from diverse operational, manufacturing or technical backgrounds and includes comprehensive on-the-job training under the Gore Bay Operations Manager, with a strong emphasis on safety and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Shares safety knowledge and prioritises safety first.
• Participates in HSSE activities like safety meetings and hazard identifications.
• Implements operational procedures safely and efficiently.
• Conducts monitoring, sampling and testing of fuel and fuelling equipment.
• Uses company management systems.
• Provides safe access via work clearances, gas testing, permits and isolations.
• Performs surveillance and inspections, supports maintenance/work orders.
• Assists with maintenance and housekeeping in operational areas.
• Supports interface between operational and project/maintenance activities.
• Performs other tasks as required by the Terminal Manager.
