Job summary

Trinity Petroleum is seeking an experienced Fuel Tanker Driver to join our North Queensland operations in Cairns. You will safely operate MC fuel tanker units, manage loading/unloading, and ensure compliance with DG, environmental, and fatigue-management standards.

You’ll complete delivery documentation, perform vehicle inspections and communicate with customers and terminal staff to uphold a strong safety-first culture. A dedicated, professional, and independent driver is ideal.

Qualifications

• A current MC Driver Licence.
• A current Dangerous Goods Licence.
• A current Safe Load Pass (SLP).
• A minimum of 3 years’ articulated driving experience.
• A sound understanding of BFM, fatigue management and Mass Management requirements.
• Knowledge of Dangerous Goods handling and petroleum industry safety standards.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to following procedures.
• Good communication and problem-solving skills.
• A reliable, professional and team-focused attitude.
• The ability to work independently, take ownership and represent Trinity Petroleum positively.
• Current Cairns terminal inductions will be highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate MC fuel tanker combinations to deliver bulk fuel to retail sites and commercial customers across North Queensland.
• Complete fuel loading and unloading in accordance with terminal requirements, Safe Load Pass (SLP) procedures and company standards.
• Follow all Dangerous Goods, environmental, fatigue management and mass management requirements.
• Complete delivery paperwork, electronic transactions and other required documentation accurately.
• Conduct vehicle inspections and help maintain a clean, safe and professional fleet.
• Communicate effectively with customers, site operators, terminal personnel and the broader operations team.
• Identify and report any safety concerns, incidents, equipment issues or operational risks.
• Follow company policies and procedures and contribute to a strong safety-first culture.
