Job summary

Ashdown People is seeking a Safety, Environment & Quality Officer (SEQO) to advise colleagues statewide across Regional NSW. Start ASAP for an 8-week assignment with a daily rate of AU$550–AU$640 excluding Super.

First preference for Dubbo, Newcastle or Tamworth Regional Office; second preference Grafton or Wagga Wagga. Ideal candidates will have tertiary qualifications (or equivalent), strong communication, and proven experience in Safety, Environment and Quality management systems,

Qualifications

• Experience in contractor management including system reviews, risk, audit and assurance activities.
• Internal Audit qualifications and experience in conducting management system audits.
• Ability to analyse and interrogate system performance data to prepare reports and drive improvements.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Experience in Safety, Environment and Quality management systems, governance and assurance.
• Ability to work independently and with geographically dispersed teams.
• Demonstrated relevant qualifications or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Advise colleagues statewide on SEQO standards across Regional NSW.
• Analyse system performance data to prepare reports and identify trends.
• Support assurance reporting and drive continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to achieve compliant, positive outcomes.
• Participate in safety, environment and quality governance activities.

Required qualification and skills -

• Experience in contractor management including contractor system reviews, risk, audit and assurance activities
• Internal Audit qualifications and experience in conducting management system audits
• Experience in analysing and interrogating system performance data to prepare reports, identify trends and provide practical recommendations that support informed decision making, support assurance reporting and collaborate with stakeholders to drive continuous improvement, compliance and positive business outcomes
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Collaborative and detail-oriented professional, skilled at analysing information and identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.
• Experience in Safety, Environment and Quality management systems, governance and assurance
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively across geographically dispersed teams.
• Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline or equivalent demonstrated experience.

Hoping to have audit qualifications, however, would be open to consider those that don't if they are strong in system knowledge and experience.
