Job summary

NHVR External Careers is seeking a Safety and Compliance Officer based at Murray Bridge SA to help monitor heavy vehicles and apply HVNL. You will provide road safety guidance to the community and work with teams to ensure activities comply with transport laws.

The role requires occasional after-hours work and travel, including interstate support for operations. Expressions of interest close on 08 October at 5:00 pm.

Responsibilities

We are seeking expressions of interest for a Safety and Compliance Officer based at Murray Bridge SA. Working as part of a large on-roads operations unit, our Safety and Compliance Officers are at the frontline in keeping our roads safe by monitoring heavy vehicles, working with industry and applying the Heavy Vehicle National Law (HVNL).

Your role will include:

• Providing advice, education and guidance in the awareness of road safety for heavy vehicles in the community.
• Work cohesively as a team to ensure we deliver activities in accordance with relevant road transport laws, regulations and process.
• The requirement to frequently work outside normal office hours, weekends and public holidays to meet operational requirements.
• Intra and interstate travel, to support other operational teams.
