Job summary

Coronado Global Resources Inc. seeks a Safety Compliance Officer at the Curragh Complex in Blackwater, QLD. This fixed-term contract runs until February 2027.

The role focuses on coordinating compliance, reporting, and governance to ensure safety and regulatory obligations are met across the site. You'll monitor the Safety and Health Management System, track audit findings, manage documents in safety systems, and prepare leadership dashboards for regulatory reporting.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in administration, document control, safety systems or compliance.
• Strong attention to detail and confidence managing records, reporting and documentation.
• Power BI experience would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate compliance registers, statutory reporting and compliance obligations.
• Monitor adherence to our Safety and Health Management System and relevant legislative requirements.
• Maintain compliance calendars and track actions through to completion.
• Support internal and external assurance and audit activities.
• Track audit findings, corrective actions and supporting evidence.
• Maintain accurate information across safety systems including First Priority, the RSHQ Portal and Damstra.
• Prepare reports and dashboards for leadership and regulatory reporting.
• Identify trends and gaps in compliance performance.
• Maintain controlled documents, procedures and forms associated with safety and compliance.
• Work closely with site HST teams to support consistent and accurate compliance reporting.
• Support ongoing improvements to safety governance processes and initiatives.

We are seeking a Safety & Compliance Officer to join our team at the Curragh Complex in Blackwater on a Fixed Term Contract until February 2027.

What You’ll Do

Your role will be interesting and varied and will include:

• Coordinate compliance registers, statutory reporting and compliance obligations.
• Monitor adherence to our Safety and Health Management System and relevant legislative requirements.
• Maintain compliance calendars and track actions through to completion.
• Support internal and external assurance and audit activities.
• Track audit findings, corrective actions and supporting evidence.
• Maintain accurate information across safety systems including First Priority, the RSHQ Portal and Damstra.
• Prepare reports and dashboards for leadership and regulatory reporting.

What You’ll Bring

You’ll be organised, detail focused and comfortable working across multiple systems, stakeholders and compliance requirements.

Ideally, you will bring:

• Previous experience in administration, document control, safety systems or compliance.
• Strong attention to detail and confidence managing records, reporting and documentation.
• Experience using SAP and SuccessFactors.
• Experience with SharePoint.
• Power BI experience would be advantageous.
• The ability to build effective working relationships across site and corporate teams.
