Job summary

Sydney Theatre Company is seeking a Safety Advisor to support a safe, healthy and compliant workplace across STC productions, events, facilities and operations. This permanent part-time role is 22.8 hours per week, based at the STC Wharf Offices with travel to other sites as required.

You will hold a Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety with knowledge of current WHS legislation, plus Return to Work Coordinator accreditation.

Qualifications

• Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety or equivalent with knowledge of contemporary WHS legislation and risk management principles.
• Return to Work Coordinator accreditation.
• Demonstrated experience in a WHS, safety or injury management role in fast-paced environments.
• Ability to provide practical, evidence-based safety advice and collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
• Experience delivering WHS inductions or training; flexibility to attend rehearsals, performances, events or emergencies outside standard hours.
• Experience supporting psychosocial risk management initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Provide WHS advice and coordinate safety initiatives across STC productions, events, facilities and operations.
• Support incident investigations and corrective action processes.
• Assist risk owners to identify, assess and manage workplace risks; foster a positive safety culture.
• Develop and deliver WHS inductions and training programs.
• Maintain and utilise WHS management systems (e.g., Donesafe) and digital records.
