GPC Asia Pacific is launching a state-of-the-art Distribution Centre in Western Australia and is seeking a Safety Advisor to help establish the safety systems, standards and culture for a successful start-up. Reporting to the State Logistics Manager and joining the Site Leadership Team, you will lead WHS, drive safety programs, manage risk, investigations and return-to-work processes.

Competenze

• Cert IV in Workplace Health and Safety or equivalent
• 3+ years' experience in safety in distribution/logistics environment
• Experience implementing a safety management system on a single site
• Understanding of WHS and HR legislation
• Proven ability to drive safety performance and positive culture

Mansioni

• Lead and maintain the site's WHS Management System, ensuring compliance and accurate safety documentation
• Partner with leaders to drive a proactive safety culture across the Distribution Centre
• Deliver safety initiatives, training, inductions, and continuous improvement with Group HSE
• Manage risk assessments, SWPs, investigations and corrective actions

Ready to play a leading role in the launch of a brand-new Distribution Centre?This is more than a safety role. We're looking for an accomplished and passionate Safety Advisor who will be a key driver in the successful start-up of our new, state of the art Distribution Centre, helping establish the safety systems, standards, and culture that will set the foundation for the site's long-term success.Reporting to the State Logistics Manager and forming part of the Site Leadership Team, you'll be instrumental in both supporting our current operations and preparing our new facility for a safe, successful launch. No two days will be the same in this varied and impactful role.What you will be doing:Lead and maintain the site's WHS Management System, ensuring compliance and accurate safety documentation.Partner with leaders and team members to drive a proactive, positive safety culture across the Distribution Centre.Deliver safety initiatives, training programs, inductions, and continuous improvement activities in collaboration with the Group HSE Team.Manage risk assessments, safe work procedures, incident investigations, and corrective actions.Coordinate injury prevention, return-to-work programs, and overall injury management processes.Support facility maintenance, contractor management, and site compliance requirements.Contribute to Leadership Team and Group WHS meetings while ensuring adherence to all company policies and relevant WHS legislation.What we need from You:Cert IV in Workplace Health and Safety or at least 3 years’ experience in a similar role.Previous experience in a distribution or logistics environment desirable.Experience in implementing and maintaining safety management system in a single site.Understanding of relevant HSE and HR legislation.Proven experience in driving safety performance and leading positive safety culture.Demonstrated experience in dealing with Human Resource issues preferred.Previous injury management experience is desirable.Looking after you:We are committed to ensuring our people are well looked after.
