Job summary

Vocus is hiring a product-focused Full Stack Frontend Developer to design, build, and deploy scalable SaaS frontend applications from our Mitcham Data Centre. You will collaborate with backend engineers and product teams to deliver intuitive user experiences in a cloud-first, agile environment.

Responsibilities include integrating APIs, enforcing secure coding practices, and contributing to CI/CD, performance optimization, and security uplift initiatives.

Qualifications

• Experience in frontend or full stack development, ideally in SaaS environments.
• Strong expertise in modern frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue.js.
• Solid skills in JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
• Experience integrating RESTful APIs and backend services.
• Strong understanding of secure development practices (authentication, authorization, OWASP).
• Experience working with Git and version control systems.
• Comfortable working in Agile, cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop responsive, high-quality frontend applications for SaaS platforms.
• Collaborate with backend teams to integrate APIs, services, and data models.
• Translate product requirements into intuitive, user-centric UI/UX experiences.
• Enhance existing applications to improve performance, scalability, and usability.
• Apply secure coding practices and contribute to security uplift initiatives.
• Participate across the full software development lifecycle (design → build → test → deploy).
• Deploy and manage applications in AWS cloud environments.
• Work with CI/CD pipelines to automate build and release processes.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues across frontend and integration layers.
• Contribute to technical documentation, standards, and best practices.
• Stay current with emerging technologies and drive continuous improvement and innovation.
