Job summary

Central Gippsland Health Service (CGH) in Gippsland VIC is seeking RUSON students in year 3 of a Bachelor of Nursing (including 3rd and 4th year double degrees) to support safe, effective care delivery. Supervising RN/Midwife guidance applies, with opportunities within CGH’s acute, aged care and community services.

The position offers part-time hours on a rotating roster including mornings, afternoons and possibly nights, aligned with clinical placements and education.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in your third year of a Bachelor of Nursing or a Bachelor of Nursing/Bachelor of Midwifery or other double degrees with Nursing component, with NMBA registration via AHPRA.
• Provide a transcript of evidence of successful completion of all years undergraduate Bachelor of Nursing qualification from an Australian University.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of people (co-workers, health professionals, residents, patients and family).
• Caring, pro-active, engaging manner with a willingness to learn and develop clinical skills.
• Ability to work AM, PM and possibly Night shifts across 7 days rotating roster (around clinical placements).
• Fixed term Part-Time employment to support your academic nursing education.

Responsibilities

• Support the delivery of safe, effective care under supervision.
• Assist in managing peak activity and workload alongside the team.
• Work under direction of Registered Nurse/Midwife within their level of education and competencies.
• Contribute to care across CGH’s aged care facilities and community services.
