Job summary

Far West Local Health District in Broken Hill is seeking a Social Worker Level 1/2/3 (dependent on experience). You will provide social work services within Broken Hill Health Service, delivering an evidence-based therapeutic counselling service across a range of clinical areas and client groups, and you will partner with community and government agencies to build capacity to meet client needs.

This is a permanent full-time position with NSW Health Rural Health Workforce Incentive Scheme

Responsibilities

• Provision of Social Work services within Broken Hill Health Service.
• Provide an evidence based therapeutic counselling service across a range of clinical areas, and client groups.
• Work in partnership with a range of community and government agencies to build capacity within the community to meet the needs of client groups.
• Provide support regarding the psycho social needs of clients, and consultancy in regard to strategic interventions with clients, to other health staff.
