Job summary

Far West NSW Local Health District – Broken Hill NSW is offering a permanent full-time Clinical Nurse Specialist Grade 2 position. You will work on the frontline within a supportive team to deliver high-quality patient care in rural NSW.

The role includes involvement in school-based health programs, health promotion, early intervention and referrals for school-aged children, with attractive leave entitlements and salary packaging options under NSW Health Rural Health Workforce incentives.

Responsibilities

• The Primary Health Care Schools Based Nurse Program works closely with host schools, children, young adults, families, external organisations and social care providers
• Promote healthy behaviours, enhance health literacy, prevent and reduce the risk, impact of poor health and disease in a manner which is responsive and respectful to individuals, their families, school communities and other agencies
• Facilitate identification of health, wellbeing and social needs and the coordination of appropriate early intervention, assessments, and referral to services for school-aged children and young people attending designated primary and secondary schools within the FWLHD
