The University of Western Australia invites applications for a Senior Lecturer - Medical Coordinator in Kununurra. The role focuses on leading medical education, coordinating clinical learning experiences, and mentoring students across rural sites.

You will collaborate with health services, rural practitioners and communities to advance curriculum development and rural training pathways, strengthening regional workforce capability.

Qualifications

• Registered, or eligible for registration, as a Medical Practitioner with AHPRA.
• Demonstrated experience teaching, supervising or mentoring medical students, junior doctors and/or registrars, with a commitment to educational excellence and student success.
• Strong stakeholder engagement, communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across health services, universities, practitioners and communities.
• Commitment to rural and remote healthcare, including improving rural medical education, workforce development and health outcomes for regional communities.
• Demonstrated understanding of, and commitment to, Indigenous health and culturally responsive practice within rural and regional settings.

Responsabilités

• Lead and deliver innovative medical education, clinical teaching, mentoring and student support across rural and remote clinical settings.
• Coordinate high-quality clinical learning experiences through collaboration with health services, rural practitioners, community organisations, universities and key stakeholders.
• Contribute to curriculum development, rural health research, scholarly activity and the advancement of rural training pathways that strengthen workforce capability across regional Western Australia.
