Job summary

Kingaroy Hospital in Queensland is seeking a Registered Midwife to join its maternity team on a four-week contract from 26 October to 22 November 2026. This role offers rural healthcare exposure and up to 80 hours per fortnight, working with a dedicated team to support diverse maternity cases in a regional community.

The ideal candidate will hold AHPRA registration as a Registered Midwife, have solid midwifery experience, ALS and Advanced Neonatal Resuscitation qualifications, and demonstrate

Qualifications

• Solid midwifery experience with demonstrated clinical competence in maternity care.
• Current ALS certification.
• Advanced Neonatal Resuscitation qualification.
• Cannulation skills and Foetal Surveillance Education certification.
• Rural and remote healthcare experience, with team leader experience valued.
• Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Midwife.
• Bachelor of Midwifery or equivalent qualification.
• Evidence of ongoing professional development and commitment to midwifery practice standards.
