Job summary

The Murrumbidgee Local Health District (MLHD) invites applications for a Visiting Medical Officer – General Practice in Narrandera, NSW. You will deliver inpatient, outpatient, diagnostic and telehealth services, participate in on-call duties, and lead quality improvement within a rural generalist team.

Qualifications

• Medical degree registrable with AHPRA and fellowship in RACGP/ACRRM/RACP.
• Minimum three years post-graduate clinical experience.
• Experience in Emergency Medicine, General Practice, Adult Internal Medicine, Paediatrics or Rural Medicine is advantageous.
• Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team with leadership responsibilities.
• Commitment to teaching, continuing education and quality improvement.
• Availability to participate in an on-call roster and respond on site promptly.
• Adherence to NSW Health CORE values and MLHD values.

Responsibilities

• Provide inpatient, outpatient, consultative, diagnostic, procedural, telehealth and on-call services as required.
• Work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams and lead service improvements.
• Participate in quality improvement, clinical governance and patient safety activities.
• Supervise and support junior clinicians and healthcare staff.
• Contribute to building a culture of excellence across MLHD.
