Job summary

SA Health in Mount Gambier is seeking a Rural Generalist Physiotherapist (AHP2) for a 12-month temporary contract commencing January 2027.

The role offers full-time hours with a salary of $94,997–$110,052 p.a., plus 12% superannuation, leave loading, salary sacrifice, relocation reimbursement up to $13,000, and regional incentives. You will deliver person-centred physiotherapy across diverse presentations and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• Hold a recognised qualification in Physiotherapy and be eligible for current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
• Hold a two-year Master’s qualification with a related allied health undergraduate degree, or have at least two years' postgraduate experience, and demonstrate AHP2-level competencies.
• Demonstrate sound clinical assessment, treatment planning, intervention and evaluation skills across a broad range of physiotherapy presentations.
• Apply evidence-based clinical reasoning and professional judgement to deliver safe, effective and person-centred services with reduced clinical direction.
• Demonstrate strong communication, organisational and teamwork skills, with the ability to contribute to multidisciplinary practice, clinical supervision and continuous service improvement.

Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive, person-centred physiotherapy services to improve health outcomes and quality of life across the Limestone Coast community.
• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate evidence-based interventions across diverse clinical presentations.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, contribute to service improvement and support clinical development of less experienced staff and students.
• Provide clinical supervision and participate in ongoing professional development.
• Support the growth of rural health services and clinical practice improvements within LCLHN.
