Job summary

Queensland Government’s Wide Bay Hospital and Health Service seeks an Occupational Therapist to deliver generalist clinical services across rural facilities, including home modifications, orthopaedics, pediatrics and neuro rehab. The role includes travel to multiple sites and a dedicated 0.1 FTE for Rural Generalist Education Program.

The temporary full-time appointment (76 hours per fortnight) runs for 12 months with possible extension, offering a remuneration package up to $132,567 p.a.

Qualifications

• Generalist occupational therapy services for eligible clients across the age continuum.
• Experience in home modifications, hand/upper limb rehabilitation, paediatrics, orthopaedics, mobility and daily living aids.
• Registration as an OT with 0.1 FTE dedicated to Rural Generalist Education Program.

Responsibilities

• Provide OT assessment and intervention within inpatient, outpatient and health promotion across rural sites.
• Travel regularly to supply services in Wide Bay Hospital and Health Service.
• Participate in Rural Generalist Education Program.
