Job summary

Mediix is seeking an experienced Consultant Psychiatrist to join our Mental Health, Alcohol and Other Drugs team in the Central Australia region, with a 50:50 split between community and forensic settings.

The role offers opportunities to teach medical students and psychiatry registrars, contribute to Indigenous health in remote communities, and participate in flexible working arrangements.

Qualifications

• Fellowship with FRANZCP or equivalent
• Specialist registration with the Medical Board of Australia
• Interest in rural and remote health with culturally sensitive care

Responsibilities

• Deliver expert psychiatric care across community and forensic settings (50:50 split).
• Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team to improve mental health outcomes.
• Contribute to teaching psychiatry to medical students and postgraduate trainees.
• Flexible working arrangements considered.
