Job summary

Healthcarelink Recruitment Support Partner is sourcing a Locum GP with Emergency Department experience to work in a rural NSW health service. The role requires on-site presence, 24/7 on-call coverage for ED triage categories 1–5, and after-hours reviews of ED presentations with on-site ward rounds.

Applicants should have NSW Health paperwork, immunisation credentials, and NSW WWCC; on-site accommodation is provided and travel is arranged through the agency.

Qualifications

• GP with Emergency Department experience.
• Must have completed eMeds training.
• NSW Hospital paperwork and NSW Health online training modules.
• Immunisations/vaccinations, Primary Degree, Fellowship & CPD certificate.

Responsibilities

• Be the sole Doctor on call 24/7; attend in-person for all triage categories 1–5 between 08:00 and 20:00.
• Review Category 1–3 ED presentations overnight (20:00–08:00).
• Review Category 4–5 ED presentations overnight at discretion; attend if requested.
• Attend on-site 8:00 ward rounds and ED reviews; finish time negotiated with site.
• On-site accommodation provided; travel organised through agency.
