Rotational Social Worker Level 1-2, Wollongong Hospital

Temporary Full Time | Wollongong Hospital (TWH) | REQ599126 | Grade: Social Worker Level 1-2

Applications close: 11 September 2025. This is a temporary leave relief position until 16 October 2026 with the possibility of extension. This recruitment may be used to create a talent pool / eligibility list where candidates may be offered casual, ongoing permanent, or temporary full-time or part-time positions within the next 18 months.

Responsibilities
  • Provide a high quality social work service to patients, clients, consumers and their family/carers to ensure the provision of optimal health outcomes consistent with ISLHD policies, procedures, standards, relevant legislation, and the NSW Health Code of Conduct.

Wollongong Hospital, located on Dharawal Country, is the Illawarra Shoalhaven’s major referral and teaching hospital and has a bed-base count of more than 500. The campus provides inpatient, outpatient and community-based services. Wollongong is located an hour’s drive south of Sydney.
