St Vincent's Private Hospital Toowoomba is seeking a qualified Chef to join our Hospitality Services team on a permanent part-time basis (25 hours per week). You will prepare fresh, nutritious meals for patients within a contemporary room service model and contribute to patient wellbeing.

Applicants should hold a Commercial Cookery qualification (Cert III or higher) and have at least 12 months of food handling experience. Flexibility with rosters and strong dietary knowledge are essential.

Qualifikationen

• Commercial cookery qualification (Cert III or higher).
• Demonstrated experience in food handling for at least 12 months.
• Experience in working within a room service model; ideally including working with a docketing system.
• Ability to make decisions and follow instructions with minimal supervision.
• Have a high knowledge of dietary needs.
• Excellent communication with a positive friendly manner.

Aufgaben

• Preparation and cooking of food items according to menu guidelines, standard recipes and food safety requirements
• Participate in correct personal hygiene and food handling practices to comply with the hospital’s HACCP based Food safety program in accordance with relevant statutory and legislative requirements
• Participate in food processes including safe handling and storage, stock rotation, temperature, time and hygiene requirements
• Ability to be flexible with rostering across 7 days (including AM and PM shifts)
