Job summary

ibis Sydney Barangaroo is seeking a Housekeeping Room Attendant to join our dedicated team. You will play a key role in ensuring rooms are clean, comfortable, and welcoming for guests visiting Sydney.

You will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness standards, replenishing supplies, and supporting a smooth operation in a busy hotel environment. Full working rights in Australia are required.

Qualifications

• Flexible hours and shifts including weekends.
• Physically fit and able to work independently.
• Able to understand and follow verbal and written instructions; communicate clearly with colleagues and guests.
• Clean and professional appearance.
• Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience, preferably within the hotel industry, is an advantage.
• Strong attention to detail with an uncompromising approach to cleanliness and standards.
• Friendly, customer-focused attitude with a commitment to delivering exceptional guest experiences.
• Proactive and positive approach to interactions with colleagues and guests.
• Must have full working rights in Australia.

• Prepare cleaning carts with daily supplies and maintain storerooms in a clean and orderly manner.
• Follow daily assignments to clean vacant and occupied guest rooms to hotel standards.
• Replenish guest supplies and in-room materials according to room type standards.
• Perform tasks and projects as assigned by housekeeping management.
• Respect guests' privacy and belongings while delivering exceptional service.
• Use and maintain equipment carefully, reporting any defects as outlined in the procedures manual.
• Communicate clearly and provide assistance to guests as required.
