Job summary

GemLife is seeking an experienced Roof Plumber to join our construction team for the Burnett Heads project. You will undertake roof plumbing works including gutters, downpipes, drainage, flashings and fascia, ensuring safety and high standards.

You will install and maintain roof drainage systems, read plans, measure materials and work with Site Managers and trades to keep projects progressing safely and efficiently.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Roof Plumbing or equivalent is required.
• Experience with installing gutters, downpipes, fascia and flashings.
• Ability to read and interpret plans and specifications.
• Strong measuring, cutting and fitting skills and leak detection.

Responsibilities

• Install and maintain roof plumbing systems for residential and commercial buildings.
• Fit and secure gutters, downpipes, fascia covers, flashings and other roof drainage components.
• Measure, cut and shape roofing materials to required specifications.
• Interpret plans and site specifications to complete roof plumbing work accurately.
• Inspect roof drainage systems and identify leaks, blockages or defects.
• Carry out repairs and replacements to damaged roof plumbing components.
• Ensure roof drainage systems are installed correctly and operate efficiently.
• Use hand and power tools to complete installations and maintenance tasks.
• Follow building codes, Australian Standards and workplace safety requirements.
• Work safely at heights with fall protection equipment and procedures.
• Coordinate with supervisors and other trades to meet project requirements.

GemLife is looking for an experienced Roof Plumber to join our construction team, with opportunities available at our Burnett Heads project.

You’ll undertake roof plumbing works including gutters, downpipes, drainage, flashings and fascia, ensuring works are completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard. This role involves regular work at heights and a strong focus on safe work practices.

A day in the life...

You’ll install gutters, downpipes, fascia, flashings and roof drainage systems, measure and fit materials and complete works in line with plans and specifications. You’ll identify and rectify leaks or defects, maintain your tools and equipment and work closely with Site Managers, supervisors and other trades to keep projects progressing.

Job Duties

Required Skills
