Job summary

Endurance Mining is seeking a Roller Operator/Traffic Controller for the Abra Mine Site in Western Australia. The role combines hands-on roller operation with traffic management duties within the NPI & Projects team on a FIFO roster.

You will drive various rollers, implement TMPs, and support road maintenance and pavement stabilization in a remote mining environment. Ideal candidates bring 2–3 years of roller experience in mining or civil settings, strong communication skills, and the ability to

Qualifications

• Experience operating rollers in mining, civil construction or road maintenance environments.
• Experience implementing traffic management and traffic control activities.
• Sound understanding of road maintenance and pavement compaction requirements.
• Strong communication and public interaction skills, with ability to stay calm in high-traffic environments.
• Hazard identification and risk management capability.
• Ability to work autonomously and within a team.
• Basic computer literacy for inspections and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Operate different rollers safely to compact gravel pavements and infrastructure.
• Monitor moisture and pavement conditions to meet standards.
• Implement Traffic Management Plans and Traffic Guidance Schemes with temporary devices and barriers.
• Direct vehicle movements in active work zones and manage interactions with public and mobile plant.
• Assist road maintenance crews with formation preparation and pavement stabilization.
• Identify and report road defects and support flood damage repairs.
• Conduct pre-start and shutdown inspections and maintain logs.
