Job summary

AECOM in Sydney is looking for a Digital Engineering Production Lead for Aviation to drive the end-to-end delivery of complex airport projects. You will lead digital strategies, BIM implementation, and cross‑discipline coordination to ensure on-time, on-budget outcomes.

You will mentor teams in ANZ, manage data-rich deliverables, and align with ISO 19650 BEP requirements, while championing continuous improvement of digital delivery practices and standards.

Qualifications

• Experience leading digital delivery on multi-disciplinary infrastructure projects.
• Strong knowledge of BIM processes and standards.
• Proficiency with ProjectWise, BIM 360 / ACC, and Navisworks Manage.
• Experience in design, planning and construction support for civil and aviation projects.
• Knowledge of Civil Aviation standards (CASA, ICAO, EASA, CAA, FAA, MAA).

Responsibilities

• Contribute to delivery of airport engineering projects including runways, taxiways, aprons, service roads, GA lighting, signage and drainage.
• Produce high-quality 2D drawings and data-rich digital deliverables using automation and scripting.
• Develop, coordinate and maintain models and documentation in ProjectWise and ACC per BIM/CDE standards.
• Maintain timely, accurate delivery aligned with programmes, budgets and quality expectations.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across ANZ and engage clients and stakeholders.
• Support continuous improvement of digital delivery standards, templates and libraries.

How you'll make a difference

• Contribute to the delivery of airport engineering projects, including runways, taxiways, aprons, service roads, aeronautical ground lighting, signage, navigational aids, drainage systems, utility relocations and protections, and pavement rehabilitation across a diverse portfolio of civil and military aviation projects.
• Produce high-quality 2D drawings and data-rich digital deliverables, leveraging automation and scripting to enhance efficiency and consistency.
• Develop, coordinate, and maintain models and project documentation within ProjectWise and Autodesk Construction Cloud, supporting BIM delivery in accordance with ISO 19650 standards and project-specific BIM Execution Plans (BEPs).
• Take responsibility for the timely and accurate delivery of assigned tasks, ensuring alignment with project programmes, budgets, and quality expectations.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across ANZ, including airport planners, architects, engineers, and digital delivery specialists. Participate in client and stakeholder engagements, contributing technical insights and design solutions.
• Undertake model validation, design coordination, and clash detection activities while maintaining compliance with AECOM's quality management systems, processes, and procedures.
• Support the continuous improvement of AECOM's digital delivery capabilities through the enhancement of standards, templates, libraries, and best practices.
