Job summary

Wingecarribee Shire Council is seeking an Asset Engineer Roads - Programs and Inspections to provide technical support and inspect maintenance works across the road and drainage network. You will focus on pre-project programming, project management and engineering advice on renewals and rehabilitation, ensuring projects stay on schedule and within budget.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent with road network experience.
• Experience in forward works programs, project management, and contract administration for civil works.
• Experience in roads, drainage, and traffic facilities.
• Ability to interpret plans, specs, and statutory requirements.
• Strong computer literacy (word processing, spreadsheets, databases, asset management).
• Negotiation and conflict-resolution skills.
• Knowledge of risk management and WHS in road works.
• Experience with environmental assessments per Local Government Act and related acts.
• Hold a C Class Driver's Licence and WHS Induction Card.

Responsibilities

• Develop forward works programs and project scoping.
• Provide engineering support and inspections of maintenance works.
• Manage renewals, rehabilitation and contract administration.
• Coordinate with budget and financial controls.
• Oversee in-house resources and contractors.
