Job summary

APG Workforce is seeking a Road Worker in Deniliquin NSW to support construction, repair and maintenance of road infrastructure. The role is hands-on, involves operating tools and equipment, and works under the direction of the Team Leader.

The position requires a current MR Driver's Licence, White Card, WOF accreditation, and TC accreditation or willingness to obtain. It follows a 9-day fortnight with a start ASAP and ends 18 December 2026, paying $45.45 per hour plus super.

Qualifications

• Workers on Foot (WOF) accreditation.
• Current MR Driver's Licence or higher.
• Traffic Control (TC) accreditation or willingness to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Undertake routine road maintenance and construction activities.
• Perform road pavement repairs, pothole patching and shoulder maintenance.
• Assist with the installation and maintenance of guardrails, road signs and guideposts.
• Operate hand tools, power tools and machinery safely and efficiently.
• Participate in traffic control activities as required.
• Assist with general site maintenance, rubbish collection and roadside clean-ups.
• Attend call-outs and support road maintenance operations as directed.
• Follow workplace health and safety procedures and Team Leader instructions.

• Pay Rate: $45.45 per hour + Super
• Hours: 8.5 hours per day | 76 hours per fortnight
• Work Structure: 9-day fortnight

About the Role

As a Road Worker, you will assist with the construction, repair and maintenance of road infrastructure, working both independently and as part of a team under the direction of the Team Leader. This is a hands-on position involving a variety of physical tasks, the operation of tools and equipment, and general road maintenance activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Undertake routine road maintenance and construction activities.

Essential Requirements

• Ability to undertake physically demanding outdoor work.
• Strong commitment to workplace health and safety.
• Willingness to undergo a National Police Check.

Desirable Experience

• Previous experience in road maintenance, roadworks or civil construction.
• Experience operating road maintenance equipment and machinery.
• Experience working within road maintenance crews.

Previous roadworks or civil construction experience is preferred but not essential.
