Job summary

Qube is seeking experienced Road Train and Watercart Drivers for its Thunderbox site in the Northern Goldfields. Roles include operating triple and quad road trains and triple watercart units to support mine logistics, with a strict FIFO roster from Perth.

The positions offer full-time employment with a 2 weeks on/1 week off cycle, day and night shifts, competitive hourly rates, accommodation, meals and flights, and opportunities for career growth within a safety-focused team.

Qualifications

• Current MC Licence is essential.
• Experience operating triple & quad road trains is required.
• Experience operating double and/or triple watercart combinations is required.
• National Police Clearance dated within 12 months of application.
• WA Fatigue Management Certificate dated within last 3 years.
• Current Front-End Loader & Forklift tickets are highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Operate triple/quad road trains on and off road to transport gold and ore across the Northern Goldfields region.
• Operate triple watercart combinations to support haul-road operations.
• Provide assistance along the 100km haul-road stretches and site locations.

What's the role?

We are looking for experienced Road Train & Watercart Drivers to join the well-established Qube team in the Northern Goldfields region at the Thunderbox site operations. Road train operators will be operating triple & quad road trains, on and off road, transporting gold and gold ore throughout the region and from various site locations. Watercart Operators will be responsible for operating triple watercart combinations, providing support & assistance along the 100km haul-road stretches.

To be successful in this role, it is essential that candidates have:

• Current MC Licence
• Must have prior experience operating triple & quad road train combinations OR
• Prior experience operating double and/or triple watercart combinations
• Road train drivers MUST have prior experience side-tipping
• Watercart operators ideally to have prior side or end tipping experience - but not mandatory
• Prior experience operating CAT 972, CAT 980, Komatsu WA 500 or similar – highly regarded
• National Police Clearance – dated within 12 months of application
• WA Fatigue Management Certificate – dated within last 3 years
• Current Front-End Loader & Forklift tickets – highly regarded
• Ability to change own tyres when required (equipment & tools provided)
• Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol screening
• Ability to communicate effectively with other operators
• Ability to maintain accurate records of work completed
• Good knowledge of load restraint guidelinesGood mechanical aptitude
