Job summary

Griffith City Council is seeking a hands-on Plant Operator to maintain and operate road construction and maintenance equipment, including tractors, rollers and trucks, ensuring safe and efficient operation. This permanent, full-time role (38 hours per week) offers a competitive salary range of AUD 64,993.24 to AUD 71,494.28 plus superannuation and a rostered day off each fortnight.

Qualifications

• Must hold a current HR (Heavy Rigid) Truck Licence.
• Must hold a current General Construction Induction Training (GIT/white card).
• Experience operating road construction and maintenance plant.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain road construction and maintenance plant (tractors, rollers, trucks).
• Perform routine maintenance and servicing to keep equipment in good condition.
• Contribute to safe, efficient, and high-quality road works for the community.
