Job summary

Transport for NSW is seeking an experienced Truck Driver to join the Albion Park Maintenance Crew. You will operate Light and Medium Rigid vehicles and perform road maintenance tasks on site.

The role requires a White Card and MR Driver Licence, labouring experience in civil or road maintenance, knowledge of local networks, and a strong Chain of Responsibility understanding. This permanent full‑time position includes an on‑site 9‑day fortnight (76 hours per fortnight), on‑call work within 60 km,

Qualifications

• White Card is required.
• MR Driver Licence is required.
• Labouring experience in civil/road maintenance is required.
• Knowledge of local road networks across the district is important.
• Strong understanding of Chain of Responsibility is required.
• Traffic Controller Card (TCR) or willingness to obtain within 3 months.
• Traffic Control Certification (Implement Traffic Control) or willingness to obtain within 3 months.
• Willingness to undertake any legislated or internal licensing or ticketing requirements.

Responsibilities

• Operate Light and Medium Rigid vehicles (GVM > 4.5 tonnes).
• Carry out general road worker labouring duties.
• Perform maintenance and manual tasks using plant and hand tools when not operating the truck.
• Tow any trailers the vehicle is rated to tow.
• Perform required truck checks and routine maintenance.
• Participate in team meetings for WH&S improvements.
