Job summary

Victoria Police seeks a skilled Intelligence professional to support Road Policing Operations and Investigations Division (RPOID) Intelligence Team in Melbourne. The role focuses on fatal collision investigations, telecommunications data analysis, geospatial mapping, and proactive information sharing to support statewide operations.

Ideal candidates will bring intelligence experience, strong communication skills, and familiarity with ArcGIS and SAS.

Qualifications

• Experience in the intelligence or related field with demonstrated ability to collate, evaluate and report on a wide range of information and data.
• Experience with analytical software programs including ArcGIS mapping software and SAS is highly desirable.
• Experience in the interpretation and analysis of telecommunications data is a valued skill.

Responsibilities

• Provide intelligence in support of fatal collision investigations.
• Analysis of telecommunications records.
• Geospatial mapping and analysis of road related data.
• Target profiling and social media analysis of persons of interest.
• Prepare intelligence reports in support of tasking to statewide highway patrol and heavy vehicle operations.
• Assess and process information reports.
• Proactive scanning of intelligence across road policing themes relevant to RCI units.
• Undertake a range of requests for information from internal and external sources.
• Engagement with regional stakeholders (highway patrol and intelligence units).
• Information and data sharing with the National Heavy Vehicle Regulator (NHVR).
• Review of historical, unsolved fatal collision investigations.
• Prepare visual aids in support of the judicial process: maps, charts, animations, multimedia
