Job summary

Brisbane City Council in Brisbane is seeking a Road Cleaning Labourer within Public Space Operations. The role covers general labour in road maintenance across Brisbane and surrounding areas, with a 38‑hour work week.

Candidates must be able to lift 25 kg and possess a White Card and MR/HR licences, with a pathway to qualify for road-sweeper operation. Successful applicants will work as part of a team, maintain safety procedures, and demonstrate good communication.

Qualifications

• Must hold MR or HR license (Must Have).
• White Card (Construction Induction).
• TMI (Traffic Management Implementation) Licence or willing to obtain within first 3 months.
• First Aid + CPR Course or willing to obtain within first 3 months.
• Beneficial licences: Skid Steer, LF, Front End Loader, etc.

Responsibilities

• General Labourer tasks within Road Maintenance.
• Assist in cleaning road islands, gutters, paths and roads.
• Operate and drive trucks in an urban environment as required.
• Utilise tools and equipment for road maintenance tasks.
• Opportunity to upskill to operate Road Sweeper vehicles.
