Qualifications

• Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
• Experience in respiratory nursing, endoscopy/procedural nursing, or related acute care setting.
• Strong assessment, critical thinking and clinical decision‑making skills.
• Experience with procedural sedation, airway management and endoscopic/respiratory equipment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, collaborative teamwork.
• Commitment to evidence‑based practice, quality improvement and professional development.
• Ability to work flexibly across two clinical specialty areas.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care for respiratory conditions including assessment, monitoring, treatment and education.
• Prepare, assist and recover patients undergoing endoscopic procedures with safety and dignity.
• Conduct patient assessments, develop care plans and evaluate outcomes with the MDT.
• Administer medications including procedural sedation per hospital protocols.
• Maintain competency with respiratory and endoscopy equipment, setup and post‑procedure care.
• Educate patients and families on respiratory management and self‑care strategies.
