The Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (RACS) is seeking a Registered Nurse to join the Global Health team as a Medical Equipment Officer. The role focuses on coordinating medical equipment, supplies and medicines for deployment in partner countries, including shipping, customs, testing, and storage.

The role also acts as a Drugs and Poisons Officer for Global Health programmes. The position is part-time (0.5 FTE) with hybrid working arrangements until end of 2027.

Qualifikationen

• Current registration as a Registered Nurse required.
• Eligible to meet the requirements for appointment as a Drugs and Poisons Officer.

Aufgaben

• Coordinate medical equipment procurement, storage, and transportation.
• Manage shipping documents and customs for Global Health programmes.
• Maintain equipment asset register and documentation.
• Identify risks related to equipment availability, logistics and compliance.
• Support deployment readiness checks and provide operational guidance.
• Review processes to improve equipment procurement, storage and transport.
