Job summary

Bright Vision Consulting is seeking an experienced Risk Management Specialist to support a Federal Government client with implementing a new agency-wide Risk Management Tool. You will translate governance requirements into system configurations and oversee risk reporting, dashboards and governance compliance.

The role requires extensive enterprise risk management expertise, strong stakeholder engagement, and the ability to support the project through design, testing and deployment phases.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years’ enterprise risk management experience, preferably within a regulated environment.
• Experience implementing, enhancing or optimising a Risk Management Information System, GRC platform or similar governance solution.
• Strong understanding of the Commonwealth Risk Management Policy.
• Knowledge of the PGPA Act 2013.
• Highly developed written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship management capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Analyse existing enterprise risk management frameworks, policies, procedures and reporting requirements.
• Support the implementation and configuration of a new Risk Management Tool.
• Translate risk and governance requirements into detailed system configuration requirements.
• Review risk taxonomies, consequence and likelihood matrices, treatment plans, control libraries and reporting structures.
• Provide specialist advice throughout solution design, configuration, testing and deployment.
• Develop and execute UAT scenarios and test cases.
• Support risk data cleansing, migration and validation activities.
• Review and update risk management documentation, policies and procedures where required.
• Support dashboards, executive risk reporting and performance metrics.
• Ensure alignment with Commonwealth Risk Management Policy and APS governance requirements.

Bright Vision Consulting is seeking an experienced Risk Management Specialist to support a Federal Government client with the implementation of a new agency-wide Risk Management Tool.

The successful candidate will provide risk management subject matter expertise throughout the implementation lifecycle, ensuring enterprise risk frameworks, governance requirements, controls and reporting obligations are effectively translated into the new solution.

Essential Skills and Experience

• Minimum 5 years’ enterprise risk management experience, preferably within the Australian Public Service or a similarly regulated environment.
• Experience implementing, enhancing or optimising a Risk Management Information System, GRC platform or similar governance solution.
• Strong understanding of the Commonwealth Risk Management Policy.
• Strong knowledge of the PGPA Act 2013.
• Sound understanding of APS governance, assurance, risk reporting and accountability requirements.
• Highly developed written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship management capabilities.

Highly Desirable

• Experience implementing risk management solutions within a Commonwealth Government department or agency.
• Experience with ServiceNow Integrated Risk Management (IRM) / GRC.
• Risk data cleansing, migration and validation experience.
• Experience developing risk dashboards, executive reporting packs and performance metrics.
• Current NV1 Security Clearance.

Mandatory Requirements

• Current active AGSVA Baseline Security Clearance – mandatory.
• Ability and willingness to obtain and maintain NV1 clearance.

Canberra-based candidates are preferred, although candidates located in other Australian locations will be considered. Hybrid working arrangements are available, with fully remote candidates also considered where they can demonstrate strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
