Job summary

Jivaro Recruitment is partnering to find a Risk & Compliance Manager for a fast-growing global consumer brand in Melbourne. The role focuses on building practical, end-to-end compliance processes that prevent risk and avoid policy over-implementation.

You will own privacy, data, website compliance and accessibility, ensuring effective workflows, audits and ongoing training across regional markets. 3–5 years in retail compliance is preferred.

Qualifications

• Proven experience building and embedding compliance frameworks.
• 3-5 years in a similar role within retail.
• Strong privacy regulation knowledge (GDPR/CCPA style) and WCAG.
• Commercially minded while protecting the business.
• Able to work independently and influence without authority.
• Experience managing external counsel and using AI tools.

Responsibilities

• Establish clear global and regional policies, simple workflows and approval processes.
• Run marketing and brand compliance, including pre-approval of ads, social, email and influencer content and substantiation of claims.
• Own privacy, data and website compliance, including data access and deletion requests, cookie tracking and accurate privacy policies.
• Oversee product safety, labelling, testing and traceability across international markets.
• Build a customer incident system to classify and elevate complaints and risks early.
• Embed documented HR compliance processes and whistleblower frameworks.
• Develop the company wide risk register, escalation criteria and reporting to the CEO.
• Lead monthly compliance reviews, quarterly audits and spot checks, plus ongoing training.
• Drive delivery of accessibility compliance across web, e-commerce, live chat, SMS and email.

About the opportunity

The focus is on simple, practical processes that teams across the business actually follow, so risk is prevented rather than reacted to.

Key responsibilities
