eToro Australia is seeking a hands-on Risk and Compliance Manager to support AFSL obligations and the Spaceship Super offering. You will advise across product disclosure, marketing compliance, complaints handling, and risk reviews.

Responsibilities

• Strategy: determine and execute elements of the compliance strategy for eToro Australia in conjunction with the HRC
• Regulatory Engagement: support the HRC in managing regulatory relationships with ASIC, APRA (where applicable), AUSTRAC, the Privacy Commissioner, and the ATO
• AFCA: develop and maintain the AFCA relationship, acting as eToro's primary representative on all AFCA-related matters
• Framework: enhance and improve the risk and compliance management framework by partnering with the Executive Team to achieve operational compliance
• Oversight: provide second-line oversight, challenge, and reporting on the adequacy of the compliance framework, obligations register, and compliance plans, including for Boards and Committees
• Compliance Plan: assist with compliance plan monitoring activities and associated follow-up reviews across the Australian entities
• Risk: support risk identification, monitoring, incident management, and control reviews across the Australian entities, in line with the group risk management framework
• Trustee Engagement: support the relationship with Spaceship Super’s external trustee to enable effective governance and regulatory oversight of the superannuation offering
• Training: develop and conduct targeted risk and compliance training programs across the Australian business
• Projects: support special projects including new product launches, data analysis, compliance audits, and remediation planning

About the Role

The Risk and Compliance Manager reports to the Head of Risk and Compliance (HRC) and is responsible for assisting across risk and compliance matters across eToro’s Australian entities, including AFSL obligations and, where relevant, the Spaceship Super offering. The team covers product disclosure, marketing compliance, complaints handling, risk and control reviews, staff training, and special projects including new product development, data analysis, auditing, and remediation plan development for control failures.

This is a hands-on advisory role suited to a risk and compliance professional with deep financial services regulatory knowledge, strong stakeholder communication skills, and the appetite to work in a fast-moving, innovation-driven environment.
