Job summary

Catholic Archdiocese of Canberra and Goulburn Education Limited (CACGEL) in the Australian Capital Territory is seeking a Risk Advisor to support the implementation and ongoing maintenance of the enterprise risk management framework across the organisation, including schools, Early Learning Centres and School Aged Care Services.

• Tertiary qualification in a relevant field.
• Ability to obtain and maintain Accreditation in accordance with Work Teach and Lead in Catholic Education Canberra and Goulburn policy.
• Working with Vulnerable People (WWVP) registration and Working With Children Check (WWCC) required to be obtained before commencing.
• Current Drivers Licence.

• Provide risk management support to programs and projects across CACGEL, including development of risk management plans, risk registers, and risk treatment strategies.
• Develop templates, tools, and guidance materials to support schools and services in conducting risk assessments for excursions, events, and activities.
• Prepare risk reports and briefings for the Principal Risk & Assurance Officer, executive leadership, and Board committees on operational, strategic, program, and project risks.

About the Role

The Risk Advisor plays a critical role in supporting the implementation and maintenance of the enterprise risk management framework for the Catholic Archdiocese of Canberra and Goulburn Education Limited (CACGEL). This role manages operational, strategic, program, and project risks across the organisation, and provides specialist risk advice to schools, Early Learning Centres, and School Aged Care Services for excursions, events, and other activities.

Key Responsibilities

Provide risk management support to programs and projects across CACGEL, including development of risk management plans, risk registers, and risk treatment strategies.

Develop templates, tools, and guidance materials to support schools and services in conducting risk assessments for excursions, events, and activities.

• Prepare risk reports and briefings for the Principal Risk & Assurance Officer, executive leadership, and Board committees on operational, strategic, program, and project risks.
