Job summary

Mackay Sugar is seeking an experienced Rigger/Scaffolder to join the Maintenance team on a permanent, full-time basis at Racecourse Mill. You will lead rigging activities, coordinate within a small, specialised team, and report to the Maintenance Supervisor – Services.

Key requirements include High Risk Work Licences RI/SI, with broader licences such as DG/CN/WP/RA/SA well regarded. Home every night, generous leave and development opportunities are offered.

Qualifications

• High Risk Work Licences required: RI or SI as a minimum.
• Experience in rigging and scaffolding within a maintenance team.
• Strong leadership and safety focus are essential.

Responsibilities

• Lead rigging and scaffolding activities, coordinating with the Maintenance team.
• Ensure safety, quality and productivity across the site.
• Build strong working relationships with team members and other site personnel.

About the role/Job Summary

We are seeking an experiencedRigger / Scaffolder to join our Maintenance team at Racecourse Millon a permanent, full-time capacity.

Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor – Services, this role works year-round within a small, specialised team.

This is a key leadership role with responsibility for achieving high standards across safety, quality and productivity. You will be expected to lead by example, coordinate rigging activities, and build strong working relationships with team members and other site personnel.

As a minimum you will hold the following qualifications:

• High Risk Work License – SI (Intermediate Scaffolding) or
• High Risk Work License – RI (Intermediate Rigging)

Whilst not essential other qualifications held as below will be well regarded:

• High Risk Work License - DG (Dogging)
• High Risk Work License - CN (Non Slew Crane)
• High Risk Work License – WP (Elevated Work Platform)
• High Risk Work License – RA (Advanced Rigging)
• High Risk Work License – SA (Advanced Scaffolding)
