This is a great opportunity for experienced Riggers to join our team working on the FMG Green Iron project located at Christmas Creek. Civmec has been awarded the delivery of the Civil, Structural, Mechanical, Piping, Electrical & Instrumentation packages of work that kicked off in June 2025 with project completion scheduled for Mid-2026. The project offers a 3:1 roster with transport to and from site provided from Perth Airport.

The Role

Reporting to the Leading Hand/Supervisor your key responsibilities are:

  • Assist with lift plans and lifting activities
  • Align level and anchor machinery
  • Maintain and tag rigging gear as required
  • Ensure rigging gear is stored correctly
  • Assist with setup of cranes ensuring barricading, exclusion zones and signage to comply with site specific requirements
  • Attach appropriately rated rigging gear to existing structures to facilitate the movement of loads using chain blocks, pulleys, tirfors and lever hoists
  • Maintain and keep tools and equipment in a safe and clean condition. Lock them away or return to store when not required
  • Perform other general duties as required

About You

To be successful in the role you will possess the following:

  • Current High Risk Rigging licence and VOC
  • Current High Risk elevating work platform license and VOC
  • Current Working Safely at Heights Certificate
  • HR Licence preferred
  • Nationally recognised Construction Safety Awareness Card (White Card)
  • Ability to complete and pass a pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol screen.
