Qualifications

Job Description

Oaks Adelaide Embassy Suites are looking for a dedicated and hands‑on Maintenance Officer to join our Maintenance department on a Full Time basis.

In this role, the successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the presentation, functionality, and safety of all guest rooms, public areas, and facilities across Oaks Adelaide Embassy Suites.

Key Responsibilities Include:

• Undertake general property repairs and maintenance as required.
• Assist in the execution of the preventative maintenance program to ensure optimal property performance.
• Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house areas.
• Provide induction and supervision of external contractors as required.
• Maintain accurate daily work records and service schedules.
• Support the Maintenance Manager in managing contractor works and maintenance projects.

Shift Details (subject to change):

• Part‑time position
• Monday to Friday roster (some weekend work may be required)
• Afterhours callouts may be required on an ad hoc basis

Hourly Rates (excluding superannuation):

Monday - Friday: $27.97 per hour

Saturday: $34.96 per hour

Sunday: $41.96 per hour

Qualifications

To be successful in this role you will have:

• Previous hands‑on building or property maintenance experience, preferably in a hotel environment.
• A strong work ethic with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Experience supporting or implementing preventative maintenance programs.
• Sound organisational and time management skills.
• A proactive approach and attention to detail.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Availability to work across a 7‑day roster, including weekends and public holidays.

Provides complex technical support, planning and coordination for End User touch points of the distributed computer environment, including desktop, software and hardware installation, support and distribution, and remote access technologies.
Performs analyzing, diagnosing, installation, and resolution of complex desktop computer, operating system, application software and hardware technologies and associated problems.
Performs analyzing, diagnosing, installation, and resolution of remote access technologies and associated problems.
Performs analyzing, diagnosing, coordination and planning of horizontal network cable management processes including installation, moves, adds, changes and repairs.
Provides complex technical input to the Desktop Services team and assumes a supporting role in selecting and utilizing appropriate tools and techniques for timely service delivery.
Works independently with little to no direct supervision in analysis, design, and implementation of desktop solutions to fulfill business unit requirements.
Acts as a technical liaison with user groups and other IT partners for systems support and implementation. Provides an effective interface among users, vendors, IT partners, and consultants in evaluating technical issues and products.
