We are seeking dedicated and experienced Economists to join the Revenue Performance Branch within International, Support and Programs, and build community confidence and trust through the administration of a world-class tax and superannuation system.
As a Revenue Performance Senior Economist (EL 1), you will work with internal and external business partners to develop, implement and interpret tax revenue performance measures that are defensible, meaningful and reliable. You will, or lead a small team, to apply economic, statistical, mathematical and behavioural research methods to deliver, maintain and/or improve econometric models underpinning tailored performance measures and analysis for the ATO’s programs that are fit-for-purpose, principled and well-founded.
You may lead a small team to undertake qualitative and quantitative analysis of large data sets, test hypotheses and forecast trends related to performance measurement.
You will apply best practice to enhance business performance within an evolving environment, on various issues and communicating findings in an easily digestible manner to a range of internal and external stakeholders. You’ll manage, coach and mentor junior team members, and contribute to the preparation and presentation of various presentations including training material.
These roles may be offered on an ongoing or non-ongoing basis in Adelaide, Albury, Box Hill (VIC), Brisbane CBD, Canberra, Dandenong, Hobart, Melbourne CBD, Moonee Ponds, Perth, Sydney CBD or Townsville.
