Job summary

Programmed is seeking an experienced retail worker for a short-term placement at our client's reuse shop. The role is casual with Thursday and Friday shifts, 8:00am–4:00pm, initial duration of 3 months, with potential extension after training.

You will handle cash, operate the POS, and deliver friendly customer service while performing basic store operations. The position requires reliability, physical fitness for lifting/donating items, and flexibility to take on weekend work after training.

• Position: Reuse Shop Attendant (Casual)
• Initial Duration: 3 months
• Core Days Required: Thursday and Friday (with Saturday and Sunday available post-training)
• Hours: 8:00am – 4:00pm

About you

• Availability: Must be able to commit to the initial weekday shifts, with full flexibility to take on weekend work following their training period.
• Customer Service: Strong communication skills and a friendly approach when dealing with the public.
• Operations: Experience with cash handling, point-of-sale (POS) systems, and basic retail operations.
• Physical Fitness: Ability to safely lift, sort, and organise a variety of second-hand goods and donated items.
• Reliability: A proven track record of punctuality and dependability.
