Mountainview Retreat Retirement Village in Penrith NSW is seeking an experienced aged care worker to provide 24hr on-call support to residents during shifts. The role includes overnight weekday shifts, weekend work, and public holiday duties to ensure safety and well-being.

Applicants should have previous aged care experience and a Current First Aid certificate; Certificate III in Aged Care is preferred but not essential.

Responsabilités

• Provide 24hr on-call support to residents during shifts.
• Overnight weekday shifts and weekend/holiday work.
• Attend to residents’ personal care alarms and wellbeing.
• Offer emotional and social support and companionship.
• Supervise Village Centre and complex for safety.
• Assist with resident meals and kitchen duties (2 nights).
• Light cleaning of Village Centre and kitchens.
• Support residents in social in-house functions.

Mountainview Retreat Retirement Village – Penrith NSW

We are a well established, over 55's Independent Living Retirement Village seeking an experienced aged care worker to join our friendly team. The role involves providing 24hr on-call support service to Residents during your shift.

Key responsibilities

Overnight Weekday shifts (4.30pm – 8.30am) – Minimum 4 per month

Weekend shift work (Friday night – Monday morning; Includes access to Staff unit for overnight hours)

Public Holiday work (including Christmas and Easter)

Attending to residents if their personal care alarm is activated

Interacting and socialising with residents to ensure their well being

Provide emotional and social support to residents when needed

Listening, talking and having fun with residents

Supervising the Village Centre and complex to ensure the safety & well being of all residents

Assisting the Chef with the serving & clearing for Resident in-house meals (2 x nights only)

Assisting residents with their social in-house functions

Light cleaning of Village Centre and Village kitchens

About you

Previous experience in Aged Care

Current First Aide certificate

Certificate III in Aged Care (preferred, but not essential)

An easy going, nurturing nature

Ability to work unsupervised & respond to various situation as they arise
